Waking up at 6:30 in the morning this is the first thing I see when I open my eyes. The mosquito netting over the bed – waking up in my transparent cave, listening to the waves pound the beach outside my door.
Resort marketing materials always seem to have photographs of the rooms with the big comfortable looking bed and the mosquito netting spread out over it in a romantic way. But in the jungle and on the beach in The Yucatan, the mosquito netting comes in handy to keep the mosquitoes at bay.
Pretty though, isn’t it?
